“ I had no idea this spot was owned by the same chef as Avenue B! The inside is so big and really cute. They even had the upstairs. I'm sad I went for the first time on their last day since it was really packed even at 9pm. The staff and chef are awesome and super fun. Their pork belly was delicious. I got the classic meatloaf (I've had it at Avenue B) and it was great! Love that you can sub the goat cheese mashed with regular mashed. The drinks were really good! I had the tequila aperol drink. Can't wait till they do their monthly supper club soon! Definitely would love to come back and try more of Chef Chris's food! ”
“ We stopped by for a farewell dinner yesterday and it was a good thing I made reservations yesterday because it was packed since they're closing on Saturday 2/15. The inside was unusually dark but not too much of an issue for us since we had our video lights. The food was delicious as always. My favorites from yesterday were the Wagyu beef meatloaf, the mac and cheese, the Brussels sprouts, and the croissant bread pudding. We had a couple of minor issues (they ran out of bacon and we asked them to put in pork belly instead which they didn't up charge us for and the desserts took FOREVER to come with no communication) but it's their last week so I can't hold it against them. Bonfire was a gem in the Southside and will be missed!! ”
“ I am so sad to hear Bonfire is shutting its doors! I had to schedule a reservation right when I heard the news. I miss a few things off their old menu but the food was delicious as always! I tried the wood fired salmon with noodles which I had never seen before on the menu but it was AMAZING. The salmon was crispy and delicious, the noodles were full of flavor and had a slight crunch every once in a while. I love the decor. However, the lighting isn't strong in some sections. I had to use my phone light to see the menu and to see my food. Thanks for the great years Bonfire! ”
“ IG Post @tinaaslife_ Pittsburgh Restaurant Week has a special place in my heart who wouldn't want a fancy three course meal on a budget?! I visited @bonfirepgh on a Wednesday evening for a self-care dinner and it was worth it! I got to try everything for $45.25 with a $12 . The waitress/ waiter was attentive and super nice. 1. Wedge Salad with crumbled blue, bacon jam, buttermilk vinaigrette 7.5/10 bit on the sweeter side 2. Wood-Fired Octopus with crispy potatoes, broccolini, red pepper vinaigrette, and manchego 8.5/10 3. Lemon Olive Oil Cake with Basil Whip and Pistachio 6/10 a bit dense with a subtle lemon taste 4. "What's the Juice?" With Tito's vodka, pomegranate sage, and lime 8/10 ”
“ We recently celebrated a birthday brunch at this restaurant, and it was an amazing experience! The owner and chef, Chris, was incredibly helpful in planning our event, offering great ideas and accommodating all our needs. He even allowed us to sit upstairs, which provided a more private setting, perfect for enjoying time with friends. The food was outstanding, and the service was top-notch. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. Whether you're planning a special celebration or just want to enjoy a great brunch/dinner this place is definitely worth considering. We highly recommend it for any occasion ”
“ Absolutely gorgeous restaurant! We were thrilled it wasn't packed because it usually is when we drive past. Brunch was yummy albeit slow to come. Drinks were also excellent and our server was very efficient. I think I'd prefer to come for dinner next time. ”
“ -Had ourselves a lil girls night at Bonfire the other day. We had the cutest lil table for two right by a big open window. @kaliyah.a.moore got the wagyu beef meatloaf and boooy did it look good. I got the chicken meatballs in pesto and the baked ricotta and I'll tell ya, that's the combo to get. I was making little bites using the grilled sour dough, laying down some baked ricotta , and topping with the pesto meatballs and woooof. They should consider making that combo a flat bread because it was scrumptious. The baked ricotta I could eat for the rest of my life and never get tired. So cheesy, warm, and inviting. The meatballs were nice and tender and the pesto was light but super flavorful. Our waiter was so kind and the whole experience was #GOUDapproved and I'll be back for some baked ric and meatball diy flatbreads Wagu Beef Meatloaf chive & goat cheese whipped potatoes, blistered tomato jam, veal demi $31 Chicken Meatballs pesto cream, arugula, parmesan frico $13 Baked Ricottoa olives, Calabrian chili, grilled sourdough (v) $14 ”
“ Amazing service every time. Their food never disappoints & their drinks are amazing. One of the best espresso martinis I've had in the city. The bartenders really know how to make a great drink. They also have great beers on tap. ”
“ A nourishing girls night out = friends & Bonfire's meatloaf. Enough said But seriously get the meatloaf. Cocktails were amazing too. Appreciate the fun flavors & high quality execution of both the food + drink. ”
